Louis D'Esposito

Louis D'Esposito

​Louis D'Esposito, born in 1958 in the Bronx, New York City, is an American film producer and director renowned for his significant contributions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He began his Hollywood career as an associate producer on the 1991 comedy "Another You". Subsequently, he worked on notable films such as "Basic Instinct" (1992), "Zathura: A Space Adventure" (2005), and "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006).  In 2008, D'Esposito joined Marvel Studios as an executive producer for "Iron Man," the film that launched the MCU. The following year, he was appointed co-president of Marvel Studios alongside Kevin Feige, a position he continues to hold. Beyond his executive role, D'Esposito has directed Marvel One-Shot short films, including "Item 47" and "Agent Carter," the latter inspiring the ABC television series of the same name.
